After-School Sporting and Events Ticket Sales

In an effort to obtain the most enjoyable experience for our Potomac Middle School Students and our fans. This protocol will be in place not only for sporting events, but also for all after school student activity events such as dances, talent shows, movie nights etc. This however does not include after-school tutorials and study sessions.  The following protocol will go into effect starting  Tuesday, December 8, 2015:
Students wishing to attend the upcoming game this Thursday or any other school sponsored event  are required  to do the following:
  1. Have a current student school  ID  present when purchasing their tickets. The ID will be checked against the conduct and/or academic ineligible list. If the student's name is on ineligible list they will not be allowed to purchase a ticket, or attend the after-school event.
  2. Purchase tickets during their grade level lunch shift on either Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday.  This will allow 3 opportunities for purchase per grade level. No tickets will be sold to Potomac Middle School Students at the door.
  3. Students are responsible for the maintenance of their own ticket. If they should lose their ticket they will not be able to purchase tickets at the door.
  4. Tickets will be sold at the door only to parents/guardians, siblings not in attendance at Potomac MS, and visitors.

Digital Learning Day

Potomac Middle School is pleased to announce its participation in the Digital Learning Day campaign. This national campaign, launched by the Alliance for Excellent Education, is designed to celebrate innovative teaching, highlight practices that make learning more personalized and engaging for students, and explore how digital learning can provide all students with the opportunities they deserve—to build the skills needed to succeed in college, a career, and life.

Through this work and by hosting Digital Learning Day activities during the week of February 16 through 19, Potomac Middle School strives to highlight what many teachers and students are already doing in our school, what is possible for our students by integrating digital learning into the instruction, and what we as a school need to consider to take advantage of the possibilities of digital learning for our students.

Concussion Training

All middle and high school student athletes and their parent/guardian are required to complete an annual Concussion Training according to Prince William County Public Schools Policy 759. Middle school students who are trying out for a sport for their first time in middle school or are new to Prince William County Public Schools must attend a Face to Face Concussion Training WITH THEIR PARENT/GUARDIAN.

Thursday, January 21, 2016 at 6:30 p.m.

Thursday, March 17, 2016 at 6:30 p.m.
